Hot Dog! These Franks are Delicious & Donate to Nonprofits Too

By July 19, 2017 No Comments

To be frank, Atlanta hasn’t always rivaled cities like Chicago when it comes to crafting the perfect hot dog. But between the slew of stands hitting the streets and the news about $2 hot dogs at the Mercedes Benz stadium – things are looking pretty doggone good for us. No buns about it! To celebrate our hot bed for hot dogs and in honor of National Hot Dog Day (because there’s a day for everything at this point) we’ve rounded up a few of our favorite places to nosh on these all time American classics. The sweetest part other than that relish topping? They all donate to nonprofits too!

Don’t have time during the week to hit up a hot dog stand? Fear not! The Helpful Hot Dog, housed out of Ponce City Market by the Beltline entrance, is open every Saturday with proceeds benefitting issues affecting the Atlanta community.

Pop Dog has been pop, lock and dropping franks to ATLiens since 2014. What started as a way to give back to the Atlanta Community Food Bank in 2014, has now grown to help a number of nonprofits in town. Dig in!

As an Atlanta classic, The Varsity has been asking, “What’ll you have” since 1928. Wash down that dog with a Coke and do so with a refreshing smile knowing they donate to various charities across the city.

Don’t let the name fool you – Yeah Burger! has some delicious dogs! With their weekly Tuesday charity nights, you’ll have plenty of time to explore their menu beyond their bangin’ burgers.

Now that we’ve gotten your taste buds in a tizzy, it’s up to you to decide where to take them. If you know of a hot dog joint that gives back, we’d love to know about it! Hit us up at .
